Reciting prayers…any useful?

I have come across people that ask 'why do you recite prayers? Are they any useful? Aren't you repeating the same prayer over and over without you thinking and praying from your heart?' I was also one among these people who used to ask such questions until I realized their use one day.

Very old prayers like 'Our Father' and 'Hail Mary' definitely have their values. This can be best known when dealing with the dark forces. Sometimes these forces are very aggressive and harmful and get physical. I mean they physically hit us, push us down, and toss us to the other side of the bed. You can see a dark form doing all these things and usually these things happen during the night. At these times, just saying the 2 words 'Our Father' or 'Hail Mary' will have a strong effect on the dark forces, even if they are in large numbers. I may not have any intention to pray but even those 2 words would have such a profound effect that whatever dark force is holding on to me will leave me and run away.

So far so good. I have saved myself from the dark forces. But that is not all enough. These forces may come back later or may try to hurt someone else. I should not let this happen. The best idea is to throw these forces into hell. But I don't have the authority to throw them into hell. Only God has that power. So I should pray to God to take care of the dark forces that were threatening me some time back. Remember God has given us a free will to choose. I choose God means I comply with his rules and turn to Him when I am in trouble. The common prayer goes like this 'In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, I cast these spirits (that were tormenting, that are here, etc,…depending on your situation) to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ'. Now we don't handle these things anymore and we have surrendered the matter to Jesus. He knows what to do. We are safe. We can get back to our work.
